SET PTEXT OPAQUE causes the rectangular area surrounding printed text to be cleared using the current back ground colour ( see PRINTER INK ), before the text is output to the printed page using the foreground colour.

 

SET PTEXT TRANSPARENT causes the text to be overlaid over the top of any existing graphics, without obliterating the rectangular region behind the text.

 

The OPAQUE style of printing is the default setting
